The Health & Innovation District Amsterdam (HID) is part of Sanquin Health Solutions. This ecosystem stimulates cooperation between start-ups, scale-ups and knowledge institutions in the Life Sciences. Events are essential here: they bring people together, make ideas visible and strengthen the community.

The reason for the collaboration

With a growing number of organized events, HID needed a future-proof system. The organization was looking for a solution that automates the registration process, saves time and at the same time provides a professional experience for visitors. Other important requirements were the link to the community app that is still under development, an integration with existing systems such as HubSpot and Mollie, and sufficient options to adapt the design to their corporate identity.

What did we implement?

Together with HID, we've automated the entire event registration process. Visitors sign up via a personalized HID corporate page and automatically receive confirmations, updates, and QR tickets. On location, the check-in process is therefore fast, error-free and professional. All communication before and after an event — including evaluations — is now also part of the fixed flows.

In addition, the team has handy reports with insights into applications, attendance and engagement. This not only makes the process more efficient, but also provides more control over data.

The result

The implementation of the new system saves HID a great deal of time, especially in preparing and following up events. At the same time, the events have become more professional: the look is consistent, the process runs smoothly and visitors experience it as user-friendly. Everything is in line with the new HID corporate identity, which contributes to familiarity and brand experience.

“We can now organize events more efficiently and with greater confidence,” says Kiki Scholts, Interim Head of Marketing & Communications. “This makes it possible to further expand the number of events without putting extra pressure on the team. The user experience remains strong, contributing to an active, connected community on campus.”

The collaboration with Lively is highly recommended by Sanquin. “Lively's flexibility and input, even when internal processes take longer than expected, are highly appreciated. Thanks to this great collaboration, HID was able to go live on time with the new system.”
